PFSD Public Comment Policy Needs to Change

I have emailed the Post Falls School District Board of Trustees regarding their current policy of requiring a public commenter to state their full home address out loud at the beginning of their public comment.
Here is what I wrote when I asked that their public comment policy be changed:
"I would like to ask that the board add to their agenda that the public comment policy be changed. Specifically I ask that you remove the requirement that the public commenters address be stated at the beginning of the public comment. In this era of doxing it discourages public comments.
When I have given public comment at Kootenai County meetings, at the CLN library trustee meetings, at Post Falls City Council meetings, at CDA School District meetings, at Hayden City Council meetings, at CDA City council meetings, at Panhandle Health Trustee Meetings, and when I have testified by zoom before the Idaho Legislature - I have not had to say my address out loud. In most cases I have been asked to state what city I live in before giving my public comment. I have given entities my full address in writing when asked. In my experience you guys are the only public entity that does that in our area.
As I stated in my previous email to Mr. Uhrig, I would be happy to give you my address in writing."
If you agree with me that this policy needs to be on a board agenda so that it can be changed, then email the board clerk: kerri.zeller@sd273.com
On a side note, I have a tad bit of concern that the PFSD board is ignoring the intent of Idaho Senate Bill 1007 that was signed into law on July 1, 2025. The bill's intent is to remove restrictions on public comment at school board meetings and is now law in Idaho.
Thank you to Mr. Uhrig for telling me the procedure to get this placed on the board agenda.
