Taxpayer Money to Daycares in 83854

Using the Transparent Idaho webpage and the Idaho Child Care Program webpage - I made a spreadsheet of all the licensed daycares in 83854 (Post Falls). According to the records from 2020 to 2024 - $27,841,865.08 in Trustee and Benefit Payments from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare were paid out.

That is an average of $5.5 million a year.

Out of the 79 daycares, 41 of them did not take any taxpayer money from 2020 to 2024. (51%)

I have emailed the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to ask them to do an audit of three daycares. One daycare took in $5.8 million from 2020 to 2024. Another took $1 million, and yet another one took $1.5 million from 2020 to 2024. Three businesses taking in $7.8 million in taxpayer money needs to be looked at.
