For Travis Lohr to have a job offer rescinded due to what he said at a school assembly is wrong. His capability to be a firefighter/smoke jumper has nothing to do with what he said at school.
Consider joining me in politely calling and emailing the Silver Valley Forest Service office and the Coeur d’Alene Forest Service office. Ask what legal grounds Mr. Heyn had for rescinding Lohr’s job offer. (Please note that Heyn works for the US Forest Service, not the Idaho Department of Lands.)

This is the young man from Kellogg High School that stated, “Boys are boys, and girls are girls,” at a school assembly.
