HB 139 - Children's School and Library Protection Act - Heather

Heather gave a warning at the beginning of her time to speak that she would be reading something that was graphic and might offend (The Cord of Silver Flames). She mentions that she was affected by exposure to porn as a child.

Idaho House Education Committee Julie Yamamoto refused to let her read from the book she brought. It is odd that Yamamoto doesn't think there is obscene material in Idaho libraries, yet she refused to let the book be read from due to minors being in the room. Which is it?

Please join me in emailing her: JYamamoto@house.idaho.gov Idaho

Representative Tony Wiśniewski objected but was overruled by Yamamoto.
