North Idaho Water Rights Settlement
10-15 years ago the Coeur d'Alene Tribe decided that they wanted to claim ownership over all water rights around the lake, including the Post Falls Dam. Using federal government attorneys representing the tribe, a water rights battle began. A settlement was reached recently between the state of Idaho, the tribe and all the property owners with water rights around the lake.
