Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon Explaining Election Night Counting

Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon explains more of the counting processes for Kootenai County. Jennifer Locke, Kootenai County Deputy Clerk; Elections Clerk Asa Grey, and Idaho Secretary of State employee Chad Houck add their thoughts.


Jim explains that we are the largest central count county. This means that no ballots are counted at the precincts. The counting takes place at the elections office.


A bill regarding election auditing was just passed this year (2021) by the Idaho Legislature.


David Clements asks some questions about networking and thumb drives.
