Taxpayer Money to Daycares in 83835

Hayden - I made a spreadsheet of all the license daycares in 83835 (Hayden), using the Transparent Idaho webpage and the Idaho Child Care Check webpage.

According to the records from 2020 to 2024 - $2,859,332.28 in Trustee and Benefit Payments from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare were paid out. Out of the 30 daycares, 19 of them did not take any taxpayer money from 2020 to 2024. (63%) These totals do not include the CDA School District.

I have emailed the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labradors office to ask them to do an audit of 2 daycares. One took in $1,562,787.27 from 2020 to 2024. Another took in $500,560 in the same period.

As with my previous post on Post Falls and CDA daycares, keep in mind that there is no way to filter for daycares that care for disabled children, nor can I see how many children each daycare has. Also, the Idaho Child Care Check webpage shows the last date of inspection and if there are any violations.
