Communication on Exemptions

House Bill 298 - Student Immunizations and Parental Communications has PASSED in the Senate! Woo hoo! It will go in front of the Governor now to be signed into law, hopefully by the end of week or beginning of next.

Bill Statement of Purpose: This legislation requires school officials to notify parents or guardians of their right to vaccine exemptions. Exemptions for preschool through grade twelve students exist in Idaho code 39-4802. With the addition of this legislation, any notifications to parents or guardians regarding vaccinations must include a verbal description of their right to exempt their child.
