Title of Prop 1

Below is a screenshot of the title of the initiative that is Prop 1. This was at the top of the sheet when Idaho voters signed to get the initiative onto the Nov. ballot.

"Measure creating right to abortion before fetus viability, and post viability to protect health; right to privacy; healthcare provider liability protections."

First let's look at the term fetus viability. Fetus viability is defined as a baby being able to survive outside the womb. So if the baby can't survive outside the womb then it is ok to kill it? The baby is alive long before it can survive outside the womb.

Second, let's look at post viability. Prop 1 wants to have abortion be an option even when the baby is able to survive outside the womb. So even though the baby can survive, it should be ok to kill it? It does say to protect health. The health of the mom and the baby? Aborting the baby would not protect the health of the baby.

Third, right to privacy? HIPPA already covers a lot of this. From what I understand this would apply to minor children seeking an abortion. Shouldn't minor's parents be involved in a decision like that?

Finally, healthcare providers already have liability protections.
