I wrote an email to some of our Idaho State legislators regarding the change in funding for Idaho public schools.
"I am concerned by the change in funding mentioned in the Docket 08-0201-2001. https://adminrules.idaho.gov/bulletin/2020/10.pdf#page=16 This is a link to those rules.
I read it as changing the funding for public school away from physical attendance.
This concerns me. Quite a few people in North Idaho want our schools back to full time in person school.
This change in funding would create an incentive to stay closed, etc. I don’t want to short change funding for schools, but I think moving away from physical attendance as a big part of funding is also wrong."
I got responses from: Idaho Senator Peter Riggs, Idaho Representative Doug Okuniewicz, Idaho Representative Prisclla Giddings, Idaho Representative Jim Addis, and Idaho Representative Vito Barbieri.
