"There's a rumor circulating that CDA's police have been told to work against my campaign, because I'm going to cut police salaries. It's a lie, pure and simple. But it does point out how the establishment operates. I've reached out to the police union several times via email and telephone, to set up a meeting so that I could get to understand their issues, and for them to get to know me.

I have yet to receive a response. And in every statement regarding public safety, in interviews, on my web site, on social media, I have been a strong advocate of our police, and will continue to support them, despite underhanded tactics such as this from the old boy network."
