Clearwater County Residents Who Signed the Abortion Initiative
If you sign a petition to get an initiative on the ballot in Idaho, it is public record. I requested and received the list of Clearwater County registered voters that signed the Idaho Reproductive Freedom And Privacy Act Initiative. Which will be Prop One on the November ballot. Due to the public record not coming in a spreadsheet format, I made my own spreadsheet of the data. The first name, last name, party affiliation, and the city they live in is on the spreadsheet. I removed the address column that came with my records request to maintain some privacy for the signers of the petition.
The title is misleading in my opinion . Parents not knowning that a minor had an abortion is not a privacy issue, that is eroding parental rights. Reproductive Freedom is also misleading. The baby is a separate person from the mom, aborting it is not supporting freedom.
The majority of the signers in Clearwater County reside in Orofino - 56 signatures and Lenore - 12 signatures.
The political party of the signers in Clearwater County were as follows: Democrats - 39 . Republican - 12. Unaffiliated - 24. Constitution - 1. In my opinion the 12 Republicans are highly likely to be rinos.
