Ballot Initiatives

Interesting Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee meeting going on in Boise right now. There is a proposal to require signatures from all Idaho counties for an initiative to get on the ballot. Currently to get an initiative on the ballot you can go to the most populated areas to get signatures.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I agree that the Bosie area should not be the only area that one needs signatures from to get an initiative on the ballot. But I also see that making it much harder leads us to have to rely on politicians listening to the people they represent.
